Proposed Bylaws Changes
1.) Article XVI – Commission on Economic & General Welfare Section 1 – Composition (a-e)
Suggested Revision: Add new b – “No officer/member of the ONA E&GW Commission shall serve more than eight consecutive years on the Economic and General Welfare Commission. Service for a portion of the term greater than half shall be considered a term.” Reletter old b-e as c-f
Rationale: The ONA bylaws impose these same term limitations for the members of the ONA Board of Directors, the highest offices held in the association. All other ONA entities should reflect compliance with this same philosophy including those members of the E&GW Commission who do not hold ONA Board seats.
